Sephora mini haul + review

sephora_reviewI may or may not have made a “small” trip to Sephora on Monday to pick up a new bronzer (aka other items I may or may not have needed). So, like any trip to Sephora, one must haul about it (and of course I included a mini review on all the products- awesome).

I was in desperate need for a matte bronzer as I just finished my Hoola by Benefit- making an effort (slight) to check for another bronzer to try out, I found myself picking up Hoola, yet again. No surprise there and of course worth every penny. It’s not my fault though, it enjoys being in my make-up collection.

photo 3Benefit: Hoola
Pros:
Matte (great as an overall bronzer or to contour)
Build-able (great for any skin tone, the darker your complexion the more you’ll need to apply-simple)
Pigmented (little product needed on brush for a one time application)
Life span – face and shelf (wears all day, product pretty much has a shelf life of forever)

Cons:
The fact that I do not have an endless stock of Hoola.

Philosophy: Purity made simply
I then decided to break my philosophy cherry with their 3 in 1 cleanser for face and eyes called “purity- made simple”you know the product all the guru’s have been raving about- forever. I decided to purchase purity because I was looking for a product that would work and had multiple purposes. I haven’t used this product long enough yet to determine long term pros or cons, but here are some short term finds!

Pros:
Smell (not overwhelming yet has a great scent for both day and night use)
Gentle enough for the eyes (hence why it’s a 3 in 1 for both face and eyes-mega plus)
pH balanced formula does not dry out skin, removes dirt, makeup and cleanses pores.

Cons:
Does not wash out all of my make-up in one shot. I need to apply the milk substance + wash and repeat twice in order to have everything come all off.

Upon picking up my 3 in 1 I then stumbled upon the Clarins’ shelf. I secretly wanted something that would maintain my Brasil summer glow. Harmful tanning beds was not something I wanted to undergo, so I decided to go with a self tanning product (a first for me). I decided to start with my face as the full body products are more expensive and tricky- just needed something to test the waters.

Clarins: Liquid Bronzer Self Tanning
Further the men with heart disease, found to be the risk 10 times higher but even for them, the possibility of bearing a heart attack in any given time is seems to be about 1 in a million; sex twice the peril, but it s still just 2 in a million. super cheap cialis This can be taken as cheapest cialis from india performance anxiety which leads to premature ejaculation in men. Taking Poppers (Amyl Nitrate, Amyl Butrate) cialis no prescription is dangerous while using this medication. Pros:
Great scent (which is a plus for self tanning products, I know a lot of them smell horribly or smell like tanning bed lotions- not this bad boy)
White milky liquid (applies like a cream leaving you streak and orange free)
Gradual progress (a plus for people who want to maintain their tan or build a sunless tan)

Cons:
I have nothing bad to say about this product right now. I have only used it once (last night) so I will need to give it a couple of weeks before I can give a full report, however, I already noticed a great natural glow.

I have yet to try this product and will do a full review once I have tested this serum on a regular basis. I find that serums, especially ones that are meant to help nourish, repair and regenerate skin require time in order to see results.

The overall packaging is obviously beyond amazing- you only can expect the best from Benefit. This kit is exclusive to Sephora and comes in three different “shades”, light (which I got), medium and dark. It’s purpose is to have a kit to help you look luminous, glowy and fabulous. I have listed an overall review of each product from the kit below.

POREfessional
Not a first for me, I love the POREfessional. It’s a velvety lightweight balm that helps minimize the appearance of pores. A great primer for pre-makeup application and like most benefit products, a little goes a long way. I personally believe this is a great essential if you are a make-up lover.

hello flawless oxygen wow foundation
It’s ALRIGHT. I may need to give it another shot but as of right now I am not too crazy about it. It could be that the colour is not exactly for me, It is also light to medium coverage which is why it may have not made a huge difference in my books. I will say that it is very hydrating, smooth, and leaves skin “luminous” which is great for a natural look.

boi-ing
Amazing! No surprise since I am a fan of Benefit’s concealers. It comes with two shades which I always find great for concealing. It really covers up dark circles, redness and any blemishes you may have. It is a thick substance which requires a finger application so you may find yourself swatching a lot in order to apply the product.

And finally the kit finishes off with a setting powder in champagne which is great to conceal and set the look.

Overall I was extremely content with my purchases from Sephora (no surprise there), I was in major need of some new products and although some are ol’ time favs- I could never give them up.

Hope you ladies enjoyed, let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and your thoughts on them. 🙂
