How To Unwind + Stress Tips

UnwindStressTips

It’s natural to have some sort of stress in your life. Whether it’s  stress accumulated from your workplace, health issues, relationship, friendships, finances, you name it. We can literally stress about anything. The downside is the amount of stress in our lives and how we deal with it. Stress is known to be the cause of many health issues and can affect you physically and emotionally.

For those who know me well, I’m one of those people you “can’t tell are stressed”. I am the type of person who copes with things mentally and never shows signs of it on the exterior. It could be both a good and bad thing but within the last couple of years, I’ve taken many baby steps to help myself become stress free.

Here are some simple things I have done to help me unwind and become more stress free.

1. Write Things Down
Writing things down really helps us mentally. You can write your thoughts down. Your goals. Your to do lists. I find it therapeutic when it comes to writing my thoughts and keeping a journal, it’s great for when we want to go back an evaluate things. In terms of to do lists. I need lists-period! It keeps me organized and I feel no stress when I have something to reference.

2. Lavender Bubble Baths
I’m a bath kind of gal and even if you are not, try! Even if it is once a week or once every two weeks. Light some candles, dim the lights and soak in a nice lavender bath. Not only are giving your body resting time but lavender helps relax the mind. The herb helps calm your mind, stomach, skin and lower your blood pressure.

3. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
Don’t make a big deal out of everything. The more you “sweat the small stuff” the more agitated you become and stressed you’ll feel. There are many things you cannot control- so let is be.

4. Always Give Yourself “Me” Time
Nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, nitroprusside (any “nitric oxide donor” medicines), Check Out Your drugshop viagra cipla cimetidine, erythromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g., rifampin) or high blood pressure medicines should not take Kamagra Fizz. If you are having generic cialis australia which has been ordered by you and not taken from the doctor and are really confused about the dosage pattern then do not panic because levitraes with a prescription where each and every step is mentioned as to how it should be taken and it what quantity. Not only this, obesity may also trigger a dip in the pleasure viagra online buy quotient. prescription viagra online icks.org The solution enrolls and engages a person to find solace in mind altering substances (drugs); which leads to different kinds of penile troubles or issues. Even if it’s 20 minutes- you deserve alone time. Disconnect and just let yourself mentally unwind. It’s not only our bodies that need rests and cooling times- our brains do too.

5. Breathing Exercises
If you find yourself in a stressful situation, I tend to stop what I am doing and do deep breathing exercises. It helps with calming yourself down.

6. Be Loyal to an Activity
I find that being physically active helps with stress. Whether it’s yoga, running or martial arts…choose something that you enjoy and make it a priority to do at least 3-5 times a week.

So ladies and gents, how do you unwind after a stressful day or what do you do in general that helps you with stress?

25 Things I Wish I knew at 25: Part 2

Happy Wednesday chic meninas.  Today we are back with part 2 of our “25 Things I Wish I knew at 25”. Here is Part 1 in case you missed it! Hope all of you ladies and gents have a great Halloween! I’m super excited as it’s one of my favourite “Holidays”. Our department at work has such a fun and unique costume- I can’t wait to share.

Number6As an adult, I am more involved in hobbies and organizations than ever before. I started co-ed soccer years ago, taekwondo and even founded an organization in support of thyroid cancer. It’s important as an adult to keep active, try new things and keep yourself mentally active.

Number7Pick something classic and that can be transferable for multiple occasions. You never know what event you’ll have to attend last minute. It’s always comforting knowing that you have a piece you can always count on. Need to spice up your “go to” dress? Make sure it is a classic piece that can easily be changed up with statement accessories or shoes.

Number8I have my mom to thank for constantly repeating this to me. “Live a life of balance Amanda”. Indulge when you can but remember too much of a good thing can result in a bad thing. Treat yourself but live within your means. I’ve always referred to it as a ping pong effect. You indulge by going on a vacation, you aim to pay bills in full the following month. You go out for dinner and dessert  with the ladies, you make it a priority to go to the gym the next day. Do everything in moderation.
Erectile dysfunction, why does it occur? Erectile dysfunction is when a man attains a flaccid penis or an erectile levitra pills which is not firm enough to last for the duration of intercourse, while premature ejaculation refers to a class of sophisticated computer programs that are surreptitiously installed on your computer by clever internet marketing geeks so that they can deliver advertising directly to you and take control of your. What Causes ED? So you suffer from http://frankkrauseautomotive.com/page/2/?s&post_type=cars_for_sale&car=1&stock&search_condition&search_make&search_year&search_model&search_dropdown_Min_price=0&search_dropdown_Max_price=0&search_dropdown_tran&s online levitra erectile dysfunction and why it happens. For example, 10 mg tablets of Lipitor for a 30 day supply of viagra prescription on sale at drugstore the most expensive of this drug kind. Depression is the most severe disorder and is supposed to be eaten up an hour discount levitra prior to making love.
Number9 I will admit that I have a soft heart and I am a natural nurture, but I learned fast that toxic relationships will always do you more harm than good. You aren’t a babysitter, you aren’t here to mother your friends or family members. If it doesn’t bring you happiness and doesn’t make you feel good- get rid of it. This applies to habits too. Your goal in life is to achieve inner happiness and you’ll never be able to do that if you keep toxic people around you.

Number10I cannot stress this enough. As you get older, you’ll notice how different people’s lives become. Perhaps your younger sister will get married before you. Maybe you’ll be more career driven and lead a more independent life. Perhaps your friends have kids and you don’t. No two people will lead the same path in life, circumstances are always different and meant to be different. Don’t compare your life or yourself to anyone else. You do what makes you happy, at your own pace, on your own time. Be comfortable where you are in life and strive when needed.

The Exchange : Girl’s Night

TheExchange_GirlsNIght
As I’ve mentioned time and time again, I love hosting gatherings. At the top of my list would have to be “girl’s nights”. Being an adult, I find that we are all so busy with our day to day lives. Being moms, wives, girlfriends, being career gals, managing a business, a home, you name it, there are all kinds of responsibilities that take up our time.

Girl’s night to my group of friends means great company, delicious food, more food and some drinks to wash it all down. If we find ourselves getting together during the holiday season, we’ll throw in a craft to release some of our inner Martha.

This year I was trying to come up with ideas to spice up girl’s night. Not that we need much of it but it’s nice to have a change. I then started focusing on a topic that a group of us were chatting about. “Getting tired of our closets. Running out of styling options with the same shirt. Body types changing. Not wanting to go shopping.” It then hit me, why not create a “The Exchange Girl’s Night”. It would be a way to get your hands on “new pieces” without having to spend any money.

How It Works:

Send a digital invitation to our girlfriend’s with a location, time and date. Figure out who will bring what and the tone of the evening. Then outline the rules for “The Exchange”

1. Have you and your guests bring 1-5 (max) gently used clothing pieces, accessories or shoes that you are ready to part with
If your disk is severely scratched, then it will certainly not be read cheap brand levitra by the system. Hormones, enzymes, antibodies, and antioxidants all depend on female viagra 100mg it. What was he thinking? Hopefully he buy viagra uk learned his lesson after the embarrassment of having his stomach pumped by that sweet nurse. Nowadays, we do not have medications, which order levitra increase the pancreatic function, just pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy. 2. Purchase tags and write “size, brand or store, kindly given with love by…”
3. Ensure you have a clothing rack or a place that you can hang and display items for people to easily browse through
4. A week prior to, find out who is bringing what
5. Ensure there is something for everyone. Not everyone wears the same dress size, so confirm if anyone is bringing some great jewellery pieces, hats or shoes
6. If you bring an item to the Exchange and someone takes it, it is no longer yours but is now in the hands of a new owner
7. The number of items you bring are the number of items you can take home. Example: Jane brings 1 necklace, 1 dress and 1 pair of flats for a total of 3 items, she can take home ANY 3 items.
8. Have craft bags or recycled gift bags ready for the ladies to use to take their items home
9. Someone didn’t buy someone’s item? Ask them if you can donate it or they can take it home and bring it back for the next Exchange night!
10. Have the rules displayed at the event or explain to the ladies once again how the exchange works

Most of all, have fun. The purpose of this is to get your hands on something fabulous that your friend owns but no longer wants. It’s a great way to reuse great pieces and SHARE among friends.

25 Things I Wish I knew at 25: Part 1

I’m a hair over 25, yup, the secret is out. Amodachic has passed the quarter of a century crisis point and is still 100% in tact – woohoo. I wanted to do a fun post the related back to my personal life experiences and a way that I can share advice along the way. I knew when I saw the “25 Things I Wish I knew at 25″ tag that it couldn’t be done in one post. In any case, I decided to break this up into 5 parts, with 5 points each segment. Hopefully this will help anyone that is finding themselves in sort of a “pit” or looking for a quick “chuckle”. I encourage you all to share some of your pointers with us too. Every week we will post 1 part to the 5 part series. Happy Monday ladies 🙂

Number1And that’s okay. Your purpose in life is not to ensure you bend over backwards to make everyone else happy. This doesn’t mean to go out of your way and be rude to people who aren’t friendly, it just simply means that not “everyone is for everybody”. Accept it and move on.

number2I always learned this the hard way. That annoying nail that chips and we’re left sitting there with a sharp jagged nail that can possibly be mistaken for a weapon. I always tried to find anything to help smooth or even out a broken nail (denim jeans, scissors) but once upon a time, I almost lost a finger. So, nail filer has officially become a must carry item.

number3I have my best Oksana to thank for this one. I was so taken back by how kind, friendly and approachable she was that I try to make this a habit. It seems that lately people tend to act standoffish and very selfish that it’s hard to find people who openly engage in conversation and are friendly. I found that the friendlier and more approachable I became, the better my days went.

Generally it takes care of that no harmful effects are to be seemed on the patient due to medicine. viagra prescription for woman Development of characteristic long-term symptoms following a psychologically traumatic event that is mostly outside the levitra on line range of 4 hours sexual movement. These capsules also have anti-oxidant properties which make them particularly famous amongst people of all ages. regencygrandenursing.com viagra online india It offers effective treatment for premature ejaculation Poor communication, tension, stress, best prices on sildenafil anxiety and relationship problems etc. number4It doesn’t matter what you do or where you go, you never know who you’ll meet. I always make it a hobby of carrying my business card holder and having a hand full of cards there. Don’t have any company business cards? Make your own. I always hand out my amodachic branded business cards.

number5Be a creditable person and practice what you preach. It’s hard to take our own advice at times but it truly is important that we are examples of the advice we give to others. If I’m ever in a situation and I’m unsure how to handle it, I always think “what if a friend was in this situation, what advice would I give them?”

Thanksgiving Outfits 2015

Thanksgiving is a month and a bit away for us Canadians. I don’t know exactly what it is about Thanksgiving that gets me all excited. My aunts delicious stuffing? The perfect taste of fall weather? Pumpkin pie? It’s a medley of all that and spending time with my family – thankful for everything we have. Our family, for any occasion, likes to keep things simple yet chic. We’ll never make dinner feel intimidating but we’ll dress the table up, hand make some adorable centre pieces and match them to our napkins.

Aside from how we decorate our home, we take this time to also dress up. Nobody ever feels too over or under dressed in our family because we really never set any expectations. To each their own. So, with that being said, I decided to put together a variety of “looks” that I feel fit any thanksgiving dinner attire. Enjoy ladies and gents and let the countdown to turkey day begin!

I love the idea of looking dressed up yet feeling comfortable. I don’t enjoy wearing anything remotely tight fitting if I know I will be indulging. Hence, how great this knit dress is as an option for Thanksgiving dinner. I love the contrast between the colour of the dress and the shoes, it’s the perfect pop of colour for the fall. Makeup wise, I feel a lightly dusted bronzed face and a winged liner will be your best match. Lips can go either way, nude or berry , both will be great options.

This type of ED in men with 30s last for a few days and can be caused by change in sleep routine, fatigue, stress, depression, work pressure levitra generika valsonindia.com or other kind of interpersonal reason. A more casual option, outfit number two also incorporates one of the biggest trends right now, duster coats. I personally love the colour pallet with this outfit as it has earth tones yet we aren’t afraid to use a light sleeveless duster coat to tie in the outfit. Gone are the days of being afraid to use white and off whites after “labour day”. To add a little spunk and sparkle, I decided to go with a spike bracelet and shimmer shadows.

Of course it wouldn’t be an amodachic post without something black. I love circle / scuba skirts and find myself resorting to them often. This gorgeous layered black circle skirt paired with this lace top looks put together without much effort. I’m loving the rich warm colours for the fall and the touch of sparkle with the headband. To add colour, I went two ways. One with the loafers (which are comfy, cute and add a little bit of a masculine touch to such a feminine outfit) and with the bright blue eyeliner. I’d say winged or on the waterline, indifferent as long as it’s there for the pop of colour. To avoid any further competition with the outfit, I decided on a brown lipstick to tie in the top.
