Prepare the night before: lunch
I always find preparing your lunch the night before for the next day as a stress off your shoulders. I allocate 30-60 minutes on Sunday night preparing Monday and Tuesday’s lunch.

Prepare the night before: outfit
There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning and not knowing what to wear. It causes unnecessary stress that nobody needs first thing in the morning. Lay out your outfit from head to toe the night before. This will not only save you time in the morning but it will also create excitement – who doesn’t want to jump out of bed and into a great outfit they took time putting together?
Coffee: Timer / Prep
If your coffee machine has a timer- get that bad boy ready for action at a reasonable time with the automatic timer option. Hair
I avoid doing anything major with my hair in the morning- I like to call it a touch up that requires about 10 minutes of my time. If I want my hair to be straight, I’ll straighten it the night before and re-touch in the morning. The same thing goes with curling my hair. Leave early
For the last two weeks, I have left my house 20 minutes earlier then I normally did. This was due to the fact that I felt time crunched on my commute to work due to traffic and construction (a GTA favourite). Leaving earlier has removed a lot of unwanted stress and road rage. I find myself getting to work early which allows me time to sit down, have my breakfast, coffee and surf the internet before I start my day.

Never let anyone on the road take over your mood or anyone for that matter. Always leave your house on a happy note and the positive energy will follow. Live alone? Allocate time in the morning for yourself, whether it’s 5 minutes of relaxing in your bed or watching the morning show- have you time in the morning.
