Summer Makeup Roundup

Happy Thursday ladies and gents.  I decided that since we are in our last weeks of summer (tear) that I would do a ‘summer makeup roundup’ of my top products that I have used throughout the summer. These are products that I’ve either used on a daily basis or constantly reach for when doing a night out look. Enjoy 🙂

Makeup_Roundup

1. My all time favourite gloss (and i’m not a gloss person), Creme Brulee by NYX

2. I adore the consistency of the Match Perfection by Rimmel. It’s the perfect formula for concealer in my opinion and works best with my skin combination.

When these problems are experienced, it is better to take steps to expel harmful toxins? It is possible to do this with the help of proper treatments from the http://deeprootsmag.org/page/365/?feedsort=rand prices levitra medicinal products. There is a huge list of such prominent Anti-impotence drugs includes Caverta, viagra cheap usa, Penegra, Forzest, levitra and many more. Some Artificial Ways of Gaining Height You can also take supplements regarding growth. but one thing you have to know is that certain ingredients, natural or otherwise can be mastercard cialis harmful to you. 3. The perfect summer blush that does wonders for my skin tone. I have not stopped reaching for Milani’s baked blush 05 Luminoso.

4. I’ve raved about the Fit Me foundation by Maybelline before on my monthly favourites, so there is no surprise that it topped my summer roundup list.

5. I cannot get enough of MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish products. I am obessed with their cheeky bronze powder, it’s a soft coral with a golden shimmer finish. Perfect to enhance your summer bronze.

6. Inexpensive and a great selection. I’ve been driven to constantly pick up and use Essence’s number 07, natural beauty. I find that this colour will also be a favourite for the fall/winter.

7. Of course, I had to leave the best for last. I don’t normally use a brow pencil, however, I’ve been loving the one from Anastasia Beverly Hill. Everything from the formula to how to glides and leaves a powder finish, as opposed to a gel finish (not a fan).

Jaja Spa Q&A

JajaMain
When you walk into Jaja, you’re greeted by two sweet smiles from the young duo Kayla and Jacqueline- founders and owners of the mesmerizing spa. When my nail lady Linda decided to move her career to Vancouver, I was devastated and in a panic to find a new salon. During my overwhelming search, I was finding myself unhappy after every nail appointment and at the brink of rerouting my career choice. Amodachic- nail lady (ha!).

IMG_2489When I first went to Jaja, my face lit up. I had to take in how adorable the space was. Bright, chic, feminine, clean, it was perfect. But, the spa itself was not what had me coming back. It was the cleanliness, the service and the ladies. I couldn’t help wanting to know more about the duo and how Jaja all started. Yesterday I had the utmost pleasure sitting down with the two gals, chatting about the spa, them and the future. Enjoy and happy reading!

IMG_2485Amodachic: At what moment did you decide to take Jaja spa from a vision to reality?
Kayla & Jacqueline: It has always been an idea, something we’ve wanted since before high school. We officially decided to move forward with the idea last summer. We had a moment in our lives where we were thinking about what are we going to do with our careers, what are we passionate about and it just made sense to open our own salon.

A: Where did the name Jaja come from?
J: My niece always called me Jaja as she could never pronounce my full name. So it stuck. Jaja is also very girly and ritzy- it just fit.

IMG_2492A: How is it working with a close friend of many years? How does it change from a personal friendship to a business relationship now too?
K&J: We love it. Our relationship is very natural and as friends and business partners we communicate very well. We balance each other out too which is a plus.

A: What is the most important lesson that being entrepreneur has taught you guys?
K&J: Making sure you still maintain your vision and to keep a positive mind-always. Anything can be fixed, you just have to let it not get to you. You have to learn and grow from everything.

FullSizeRenderA: What do you think sets Jaja apart from other spas and salons?
K&J: We like to keep it real. We believe in ourselves, our products and our services and it shows. We like to treat our clients as friends and make them feel comfortable and at home. We also provide private party services for events!

A: What are your favourite nail trends of 2015?
K&J: Obviously bows (haha!) In terms of colours, lots of pastels, salmon and peach colours. Pinky and/or pointing finger becoming the new accent finger and having different designs on each nail.
Potent herbs in this herbal pill ensure more blood supply and cures impotence.DOSE :For most individuals, the recommended starting dose of viagra online in kanada is 10mg once per day (60 minutes prior to sexual activity). cialis canadian pharmacy Renowned providers exist almost at every locality. IMG_2482 IMG_2504A: What is the most important at home nail care tip you can tell us?
K&J: Don’t pick off your shellac!
A: Guilty as charged (haha!)
K&J: That and always carry a nail filer. You never know when you get a chip and you need a quick fix. Also, having cuticle ointment at the side of your bed and using it before you sleep. It’s great for the nails and best to use at night as the oils can be greasy.

A: How do you determine which products you use and sell at the salon?
K&J: A lot of it is personal preference. We’ve used all of the products we have here at the salon and fell in love with it. We also research products to see how popular they are and what others are saying about it. But mostly, it’s personal preference. We won’t carry anything in the salon if we don’t love it.

IMG_2476 IMG_2478 IMG_2498A: It’s no surprise the decor here is beautiful, was it hard to compromise styles and how did you do come up with the salon vision?
K&J: It was very easy to combine our decor style for the salon because we had the same vision. We had a colour scheme picked out and everything. A lot of what you see here at Jaja was custom made. Our pedicure and manicure station, we even had Jacqueline’s mom paint our product display.
[side note: amodachic loves the product display hehe]

IMG_2483
A: What is the future of Jaja spa and what do you want potential clients to know about you
?
K&J: We want to expand for sure. We don’t want to leave or change Jaja because this is our baby but perhaps franchise or open up additional locations. Maybe even have a blow bar in some!

We want people out there to know that we offer a different experience. We are here to pamper you and make you feel welcomed.

And that ladies and gents concludes our Q&A with the ladies of Jaja spa. I cannot wait to take mom on Sunday for our full service Mother’s day pampering! And please, don’t forget to check out their loyalty section for monthly promotions and offers.

Stay chic meninas 🙂

Colour Of The Year- Marsala

Pantone’s colour of the year “Marsala” was a huge change in gears compared to Pantone’s colour choices for the the last six years. We’ve been presented with gorgeous, beautiful  and vibrant colours from radiant orchid (2014- one of my favourites) and 2011’s Honeysuckle.

PantoneColours_pastcolours

It was a change for the best and perhaps a way to incorporate warm tones throughout the whole year since we were able to sport neons and other bright colours in the fall and winter for quite some time. It was time to change the trend around.

Marsala (which may sound familiar as it’s the name of an Italian dessert wine that sports amber and brown tones) has been described as “equally appealing to both men and women” and “one that works well with many skin tones”.

Marsala is going to be a fun and versatile colour to work with this year whether it’s in our homes, through our fashion choices or in our beauty products. The rich undertones the colour possesses and overall earthy feel,  Marsala will leave her mark whether she is used as an accent colour or the main star of the night.

IamMarsala

We’ve been seeing Marsala making her way into 2015 long before hand- especially in the beauty community with lipstick trends. It’s become a great pop of colour that looks natural and again, it’s tones work well with everybody which is a plus.

We have a full year ahead of us to incorporate (if we haven’t already) Marsala in any way that we can. So, here at amodachic, we decided to keep the inspiration rolling. We’ll have a few posts coming up featuring “I am MARSALA” – home, beauty and fashion. We hope you’ll be inspired and use Marsala in any way you can.

So ladies and gents, what are your thoughts on Marsala? Is this a Yay or Nay in your books?
