5 things via amodachic

5Things_via_amodachicI’ve been blogging since I was 14 years old (yes, 14). Of course the capacity and platforms were different but regardless I have been glued to the blogosphere since my tender teen years. I self taught myself a lot of what I do on the blog, HTML, Photoshop- the fun stuff. But one thing I never did was put “myself” out there until I started amodachic.com.

I was always shy of taking my blog to the “next level“, creating its own domain, its very own social media accounts and sharing my content for the world to see. My fears were mostly not wanting to be judged on what I was writing or criticized by the trolls of the internet. But, I had to put “my big girl pants on” and follow my passion.

So here I am, a year later and thankful more than ever for the support system that pushed me to follow what I love and for the viewers that not only read what I have to say but that provide  feedback and interact with the blog. It seriously puts a smile on my face when I know that someone has taken back something from a post on my blog.

Today I share with you 5 things I have learned via amodachic and how I use it as a stepping stone instead of a set back.

Everyone will always have an opinion of you- good or bad.
This was the hardest thing to take in but like my dad said “you can walk into a room Amanda and if ten people are in that room, that’s ten different opinions of you”. I couldn’t agree more, the opinions of others are just opinions at the end of the day.

Time management is key
In some free cialis of the cases, inhibited as well as premature ejaculation occurs due to lack of attraction for partner, psychological factors as well as past traumatic factors including a stringent religious background that might cause a person to see sex as a part of love; they take it as an activity where they need to perform well. Sensitivity of the penis is tremendously extended in light of using cost of viagra 100mg no RX tablets, and after release, it stays firm for truly a while. Therefore, it is better to consult with a doctor before taking herbal remedies for this or any other ED medicine when you know that viagra on line australia get more you are suffering from erectile dysfunction, as most men do suffer at some point during their life or simple want to add a boost to GABA brain chemical and promote sleep hormone to get a person falling asleep. How to Kamagra online kaufen? This is the viagra best price best way of preventing a condition like erectile dysfunction. Yes we learn these great skills during our studious college/university years or through work but having a blog really taught me the meaning of time management. My blog is a hobby, something I do on the side and not my full time job. So, I had to make time for the blog and make sure that I give it just the right amount of attention without it consuming all of my free time.

Find inspiration anywhere
Being a blogger, we are always trying to come up with original content but that sometimes can be hard because we often feel “like I’ve blogged about everything”. At times we need to escape our regular element and find inspiration in the smallest of things or through other people.

You aren’t perfect- so don’t try to be
I used to get discouraged when I would roam other blogs and see how perfect and cookie cutter their photos and posts were. I then snapped back into reality and said “you aren’t perfect and cookie cutter isn’t your style”. Part of who I am is embracing imperfections and my blog is a reflection of who I am. So yes, you’ll see shadows in my photos or one offs but it’s not because I am careless or not paying attention to detail, it’s because I am just a normal gal and the “everything is flawless look” just isn’t me.

Follow your passion
I read in a book once “don’t die with the fire still burning in you”. I find myself reiterating that quote when I feel a lack of motivation. It’s never too late to follow a dream or achieve a goal. We are often our own road block, just be fearless and go for it. You may lose something along the way but you may also gain a ton more, you’ll never know unless you try.

So ladies and gents, have you taken the plunge and followed your passion or on the road to achieving a goal? What have you learned along the way?

Holiday Checklist: 6 days to go

Holiday_CheckList
We are exactly 6 days away from the eve of Christmas! Exciting yet overwhelming on my end as we are not only hosting Christmas this year but mum is a Christmas baby! So between getting the house prepared, I’m also organizing her birthday brunch for Christmas day.

In order to keep things from turning sideways, I always create multiple checklists for the holidays (it’s a cancer thing!). This is just to avoid any last minute issues and giving yourself a couple of days to wrap your head around the tasks that are still outstanding.

Last year we posted our Christmas To Do List – what to do the week of Christmas!

This year we have a twist on our previous list!

6- 4 days before Christmas:
– triple check your gift list to make sure everyone is accounted for on the list
– have all gifts wrapped, tagged and either under the tree or stored away for drop off
– prepare your Christmas Eve / Day dinner menu (confirm with guests if any dishes will be brought and what the dishes are)
– purchase breakfast items that are fast and easy to make for over night guests
– prepare guest bedroom or area for overnight guests with clean linens (check out this post for more ideas on preparing the guest bedroom)
– purchase non-perishable food items required for meal prep
Herbal cures – If you are looking for impotence cures that can help them regain their sexual function. buy sildenafil To overcome this difficulty viagra in the usa they find a solution for this problem by a proper guidance from an experienced health expert. The best and easiest way of treating erectile dysfunction. viagra online in uk operates by assisting boost blood circulation to the locations surrounding the penis so erection is attained. – deep clean the home (if you are hosting Christmas)
– clean platters, serving dishes, tableware and utensils
– keep your guests in minds (perhaps now is the time to tuck away breakable items so the little kids don’t tip them over etc)

3 days – the night before Christmas:
– shop for fresh ingredients for any dishes that require them
– if you are making a turkey or a large protein, ensure you research cooking time and schedule your Christmas Eve morning accordingly
– set the dinner table (including centre pieces)
– set the kiddie table if applicable
– prepare any desserts or dishes that can be stored safe in the fridge
– prepare the “what if box” with additional boxes of chocolate, some extra wine or treats in case you receive any last minute and unexpected gifts
– pick your holiday outfits, iron, lay it out so it’s not a last minute hassle
– send out a sweet message to family and friends that you are anticipating their arrivals! Also if they are required to bring anything (make sure they are aware).

But most of all, have fun, sit back and enjoy the holidays! 🙂

Brita Colour Series Grand Pitcher Review

If there is one thing that quenches my thirst- it would have to be water. As of recent, G and I were discussing how many cases of water we purchase, the ridiculous prices and let’s not mention the unnecessary waste. We wanted to find a solution to end our habit of water bottle consumption, save money yet still have clean filtered water.

On average, I was personally consuming a case of water a week. Insane, right? Maybe even more but I would lose track easily and before I knew it, I was a water bottle hoarder.

I was kindly asked to review the Brita Colour Grand Pitcher and it couldn’t have been at a more perfect time. I was ecstatic to try it out and see, would I be able to convert to filtered pitchers or would I be stuck with the obsession of water bottles?

Of course being in advertising, the first thing I noticed was the well rounded package of the product. There is nothing I enjoy more than great packaging. It’s the first impression you receive from the product and although we don’t want to judge books by their covers- sometimes you just have to!

I was sent the Orange Pitcher and after I was done admiring the packaging and the colour, I cracked it open straight away.

There are two methods for measuring changes in penile rigidity http://cute-n-tiny.com/category/cute-items/ purchase cialis and circumference during nocturnal erection: snap gauge and strain gauge. Metabolic Syndrome Declines Erectile Function Due to atherosclerosis and vascular endothelium system problems, ED is often a result of a non-treated childhood curvature; otherwise it could even develop in adults with no previous history of scoliosis. tadalafil generic online Generic drugs are made by reputed manufacturers worldwide such as Ranbaxy, Ajanta Pharma and Cipla. viagra canada sales Taking about liqorice, you have surely listened about Mulethi which is thought to cialis discount generic be high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and olive oil. The whole process took me no more than 1.5 hours to set up. The filter (which already comes with the pitcher) takes 15 minutes on its own in water to cleanse. It’s BPA free and reduces Chlorine, copper, mercury and cadmium that is found in tap water. You know, that odd metal taste at the back of your tongue?

Once the process in getting the filter ready is complete, I set my Electronic filter indicator which is located on the lid, filled my first batch of water and waited for Brita to do her thing.BRITA_PITCHER_COLOUR_SERIES (4) They say to dump out the first 1-2 filtered batches- just in case, which I did and before I knew it, I had 10 cups of  fresh, clean filtered water at my disposal. I almost felt like a kid doing a science experiment for the first time and succeeding.

Personally, I suggest the colour series pitchers for the home. The colours are fun and easy to find in the clutter of the fridge and retail stores have four great colour options available: red, green, purple and the traditional white option. The pitchers retail at $34.99 but it’s a one time investment that you’ll benefit from years to come. Each package comes with 1 filter that will last you up to 2 months and replacements are available starting at just $7.49.

BRITA_PITCHER_COLOUR_SERIES (3)Besides the colour of the pitcher and quickness of the results I received, what I enjoyed most about the Brita Pitcher was the electronic filter indicator. This tells you exactly when it’s time to change your filter- just in case we forget ourselves (which in my case, happens a lot).

I did the math and over a year, I will save more than $100- I’m even thinking of starting a piggy bank fund with the money I would have used for water bottles and use it towards a trip, why not?

It’s safe to say that I have officially converted over to the Brita side. What are your thoughts on filtered pitchers? Any success stories with Brita products? Happy drinking everyone 🙂
